Inkline is designed to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data.

The short version

Inkline has no accounts and no analytics. Your reading, bookmarks and notes live on your device. We — White Wiki — never receive them, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone.

What stays on your device

• The feeds and categories you subscribe to.
• Articles pulled through those feeds.
• Your bookmarks, notes, captured quotes, monitors, followed journalists and reading preferences.

This data is stored on your device and is never uploaded to us. If you are signed into iCloud, Inkline can also keep a private copy in your own iCloud account so it is available across your devices. That copy lives in your iCloud, under your Apple account, and we never receive it or have any access to it.

Network requests Inkline makes

• Fetching feeds and articles: Inkline requests the RSS/Atom feeds and web pages you have chosen, directly from those publishers. Your IP address is visible to those publishers, as with any web request. We do not add tracking.
• Finding a feed when you add a publication: when you type a name or topic to add a feed, that search text is sent to a third-party feed-discovery service (Feedly's public search API) to resolve it to a feed. Only your typed query is sent.
• Monitors and Voices: a Monitor sends your chosen topic, and a followed journalist sends their name, to Google News' public search RSS to show matching public results; following a journalist may also fetch that publication's own public author feed. Only your typed topic or name is sent.
• Trending is worked out entirely on your device from the headlines already in your feeds — no network request is made for it.
• Images: article images load directly from the publishers' servers.

We do not operate any server of our own, and we do not collect, store or transmit any personal information to ourselves.

What we do not do

• No user accounts or sign-in.
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking SDKs, no third-party trackers.
• No selling or sharing of your data.
• No AI processing of your reading.

In-app purchase

The subscription is handled by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). White Wiki never sees your payment details; purchase validation happens on-device via Apple. We receive no personal or payment information from your subscription.

Notifications

If you turn on alerts for a Monitor or saved topic, Inkline schedules local notifications on your device when matching coverage appears. These are generated on-device.

Children

Inkline is a general-audience news reader and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
